Church Donations

Donation to your individual annual pledge to the church. These donations support our annual budget.

Our Churches Wider Mission (OCWM)

Monies given provide basic support to our National United Church of Christ (UCC) Office for conferences and national ministries of the UCC.

One Great Hour of Sharing

A special offering that supports international programs in health, education and agricultural development, emergency relief, refugee ministries, and both international and domestic disaster response, administered by Wider Church Ministries.

Neighbors in Need

A special offering that supports ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States, including the Council for American Indian Ministries (CAIM), justice and advocacy, and direct service projects supported by Justice and Local Church Ministries.

Christmas Fund

A special offering that provides direct financial support to those who have served a church and are facing financial difficulties. Active and retired clergy, lay employees, and their surviving spouses may be eligible for the Supplementation of Small Annuities, Supplementation of Health Premiums, Emergency Grants, and/or Christmas “Thank You” Gift Checks

Strengthening the Church

A special offering that reflects the commitment of our church along with other UCC churches to build up the United Church of Christ. The monies given are shared equally by national, state, and local UCC conferences/associations. The funds raised support leadership development, new churches, youth ministry, and innovation in existing congregations.

Captain

The CAPTAIN Street Outreach Team in Gloversville provides services to “homeless” youth ages 13-24 years of age in Fulton and Montgomery Counties. The team provides food, hygiene items, a safe place to socialize once a week, and referrals to other community programs. The church has a fund for needs that are not covered under the Captain’s Program umbrella. Church building upgrades are an example of one of the needs.

Food Pantry

Blanket Fund

Each year on Mother’s Day, a collection occurs to support the Church World Service’s blanket mission that provides blankets to individuals in need and in disaster areas.

Heifer Project

The monies donated in this fund support the global Heifer Project that distributes animals, along with agricultural and values-based training to families in need around the world as a means for providing self-sufficiency.

Memorials

Donations given in memory of a specific person. These funds are used to benefit or improve the church management or building.

Roof Fund

An additional offering requested in 2022 to help cover the cost of replacing our Roof.
